The Pine Portfolio Series is a new installment of shows featuring artists whose work is weaved together through certain common themes, coupled with bands who are masters of their own art.

Each photographer is a skilled artist whose eye is expressed through portraiture. While their subjects are vastly different — trapeze artists, young fighters, those at home — common threads pull each image into a larger picture.

In support of the show, we're talking to the photographers and bands who are making it happen:

We chatted with photographer Dave Batterman on his series, At Home, with an intro courtesy of our friends Club Awesome. You can hear his thoughts on it here.

Karen Shacham talked to us about her projects, the role societal issues plays in her work and her unique take on the significance of portraiture. This Piano Plays Itself graciously provided the soundtrack. Learn more about here - and hear the interview - here.

We interviewed photographer Alana Goldstein about her current projects, including the series Young Fighters, which she's showing at the exhibit. The background music comes to you from Today the Moon, Tomorrow the Sun. Find the interview with her here.
